Enfield Gamers attend Gamefest 4

wpc1658e94

As the title suggests, many of the club’s memebers will be attending GamesFest 4, now just eight days away, in a variety of capacities. With the 40k doubles entry, two teams of two, lead by Shadoblade (aka the other Rich) and his Thousand Sons the club will also be running a pair of  participation and demonstration games.

The Uncharted Seas game will feature the harbour assault / breakout scenario from the main rulebook with the lovely guys at Spartan Games providing a couple of prizes for the day’s most legendary Admiral as well as the best kill and most entertaining moment! A number of fully painted starter fleets will be available for use on the day.

We will also be running a Pacific ’44 beach assault game under the expert tutelage of Rich J. Rich has recently fired this project into being at the club which will follow up into a full campaign run through Rich’s campaign blog http://pacifc44.blogspot.com/

The show itself has confirmed an impressive  array of traders, games and artists in attendance covering wargaming, roleplay, comics as well as fantasy and sci-fi literature.

This is a day out that i’ve been waiting for with great anticipation, though for my wallet it has been trepidation. So if you’re in the area why not pop in and see what you can find. I’m sure you’ll not be disappointed!

We will be running a WWII participation game at Rampage on the 28th June 2009.  It will use Force on Force from Ambush Alley and sees the participants trying to destroy a ‘wounded Panther’ in the bocage behind the US Beaches in Normandy!
