Following on from Uncharted Seas the setting has moved to Steampunk Victoriana and the action now encompasses land, sea and air or whatever mix you wish to play. Ian and Charlie stuck to sea and air adding the fighter and bomber rules as the same game simple, fun and effective game mechanics apply.

Meanwhile the rest of us were firmly within the 41st Millenium with 40K and Space Hulk.

Rich J and Ian took each other on again playing the newly released “Beautiful Game” as Liverpool United took on Manchester Rovers. 3 nil to Rovers if memory serves.

Meanwhile in the 41st millenium Rich W and Mike engaged across the the 40K battlefield whilst the rest of us broke out Space Hulk. Playing the Defend mission easily accomodated two of us on each side and after dealing with a little rust we got on at a good rate.

The ‘Stealers made life fairly easy for the Marines early on before re-learning to build up thier assault waves. Backed into the final room the Assault Cannon prepared the final defense only for Jon to roll a triple. He went BANG!!

Saint and Greavsie eat your heart out; a game of two halves

A new Orc team, Gorkz Rampagerz, joined the Blodd Bowl 7s league and gave the undefeated Amazons thier closest game yet without quite managing to put one over on them. Steve broke out his fully painted Space-Hulk set for the first time, the ‘Stealers had a good night, whilst Rich and Malk tried out some new fleet compositions for Uncharted Seas.

But the game of the night was Jon’s Pulp City set-up. As you can see the amount of work he’s put into  the scenery is scarily awesome. Most of those buildings have fully detailed interiors don’t you know and his paint-job’s have always been top drawer.

Chaos attacks!

The rest of us indulged in some more Space Hulk.

Surprisingly, the Blood Angels actually managed to win on the second attempt!

The scenario involved Terminators from both the Blood Angels and Space Wolves chapters. Their mission was to contact a unit of Space Marines trapped deep within the bowels of the space hulk and teleport them out to safety. Did they manage it? Read on…

The game was played across three boards - two new sets and one of the origianls.

There's a long road ahead for the Blood Angels.

The Space Wolves entered from the opposite side of the space hulk.

"Anyone home?"

Genestealers attack from the rear.

Time for some overwatch.

Jon looks concerned as his Terminators start to be picked off.

The Blood Angels press on.

"Hmmm... I wonder what's behind this door?"

"If I can't see them, they don't exist."

"Uh-oh."

"MEDIC!!!!!"

Thankfully the other squad of Blood Angels were working as a team.

Terminators - well versed in the art of Conga.

Overwatch - a very useful skill.

Meanwhile, the Terminators being rescued were holding their own.

The Space Wolves finally cleared a path to the lower deck.

... and so did the Blood Angels.

"Errr... I wouldn't look behind, if I was you."

"I think we're lost, boss."

The two Space Marine chapters finally meet up and start beaming out survivors.

The Blood Angels perform a desperate rear-guard action.

Another two Terminators beam out.

"Game over, man, game over!"

Surprisingly, this eight-player game was finished in three hours. Good work, everyone!

The Uncharted Seas continues to attract new players.
