Enter Castellan Locke

Evenin people

Last night saw the latest round of the Necromunda campaign and the obligatory multi-player bust up;

Enter Castellan Locke, an imperial inspector from the world of Tershus. A cold and ruthless man who has very little sympathy for error or mistake. The inspector has been to sent the Hive to meet with particular guilders to review the current status of its inhabitants. Reports have been coming in that 6 particular gangs have been waring over territory for the last 3 months, nothing too serious but potentially a situation. After Locke is content with the report he collects the information in the form of a data cube and places it into his jacket pocket.

As he begins to leave and the men breathe a sigh or relief, Locke turns and says “tell Flint to get 2 squads of men outside the APC in 5 minutes”. Unsure what he is about to do – a worried Sergeant makes a frantic call and two squads form rank by the vehicle. Locke speaks… “We are taking the short road to the Southern outpost downhive, move!”. They load up and move out. Everyone knows the shortcut to get to the outpost can be dangerous at the best of times – most use the trade routes, but Locke is not in the mood to be wasting time.

The group travel quickly to their location. Nothing to report except the men being scared by Ogryn Flint’s war tales.
The inspector makes his rounds, ruthless as ever. Satisfied with his findings he begins to return to the Vehicle but as he does, a vicious bolt of lead rips into the side of the APC, making the startled unit scramble to cover. Locke draws his pistol… all he can see are the endless red dots in the dark surrounding him and his unit.
It seems that one of the guilders doesn’t like the inspector too much and thought he would send a little tip off to those 6 blood thirsty gangs..

And after the dust cleared Locke and Flint were nowhere to been found. Escaped to the Underhive?? Join us tuesday 10th April to find out……..

Who turned the lights out?

Last night at the Enfield Gamers so the super mash-up of two of GW’s better offerings in what has now been dubbed Space-Munda!!

Lewis’ inspired creation we played through the Scavengers scenario using the low-light Treacherous Condition on Space Hulk boards. It made for a very tactical and edgy game, flamers and overwatch suddenly became VERY useful whilst we scrambled for the loot.

Another element was the optional lurking beasty rules which proved quite popular. Said beasty claimed two clean kills with the victims never seen again………both of them mine!!

Next round and meeting is in two weeks time, Tuesday 13th………unlucky for some!!

Space-Munda: It's the true way forward to excellent nerdiness :)

Nun more holy: Escher on the attack!

Raid Runners

Apologies for the delay but I’ve been busy.

Tuesday night at Enfield Gamers saw round 3 of the Necromunda campaign and some playtesting of two of SAGA’s forthcoming warbands.

The raids continued in the 41st millenium with not a single successful attack to date, depsite a number of very close runs attempts and the destruction of a number of prime territories. There were a couple of deaths and a whole host of captures but the campaign remains a very open affair.

Meanwhile there was a touch more SAGA action trying out the new Anglo-Saxon and Jomsvikings factions.

This Tuesday is Open Gaming and will feature demo games of SAGA, Dystopian Wars and Warhammer Invasion for anyone who fancies any or all of them.

Came and have a go if you think you’re hard enough! :)

Raiders and Renegades

Tuesday night was the last meeting of the month and round 2 of the Necromunda campaign.

Playing through a variety of raids there were no deaths, unlike round 1, though there were plenty of captures which resulted in rescue attempts and an awful lot of horse trading. The big face-off was Ian’s Escher Nuns vs Lewis’ Goliath as both were undefeated. The Nuns were raiding the Goliaths who did an excellent job of constantly looking the wrong way. Result…big boom. An epic firefight then broke out but the Nuns held there nerve to take the game.

Meanwhile SAGA actually entered the Dark Ages whilst there was a brief night out with the Ankh Morpork City Watch with Guards Guards.

Next meeting is Tuesday 14th for round 3 of Necromaunda and more run what you brung.
