The King of England

Last Saturday, Enfield Gamers ran another of its regular open days. In the main room, Rich J ran a SAGA campaign, where players battled for the title of the King of England. In the side room, Steve ran a Warhammer Invasion campaign, where players battled for umm… something hastily made up on the spot.

Here’s a collection of photos from the day…

It’s all on

Grabbing the cows and pigs. Ok.. err.. matron.

SAGA campaign map half way through the day !

The spoilers of war!

Stewart and Ian invade each other's warhammers.

My orc's get horribly destroyed yet again.

Every good campaign needs a map!

The final results. Steve wins!

For a full write-up check out Rich J‘s and Steve‘s respective blogs.

Spectacular day … Club members triumph!

Groovy Baby … would have been Austin Power’s take on the event and he wouldn’t have been wrong.

Shaun won the event (well joint first), I came third while Jon took out the painting competition (A certain Mr K. Dallimore was the judge). Meanwhile Ian and Steve won the team game although they had to take out 1960′s London while doing so … mmm

Ian’s dice even take Kevin Dallimore by surprise …

Stunning scenery ruled the day

Open Day Apocalypse

The main event at our recent open day was a massive game of Warhammer 40,000: Apocalypse. Apparently, there were 40,000 points… on each side!

*gulp!* That's a lot of Necron vehicles!

Blood Bowl 7s: The Results

Blood Bowl 7s proved to be a lot of fun. We’re all veteran Blood Bowl players and the new spin gave rise to new challenges. The lack of re-rolls certainly led to more than a few swear words being directed at the dice!

Gutter Runners proved particularly nasty on such a small pitch.

This is me. This is me with my head in my hands. Five of my weedy elfs decided that it was too hot and refused to take to the pitch (yes, I rolled five 1s out of 7 dice for Sweltering Heat). The remaining two players didn't fare so well.

The format of the tournament was two conferences of four teams chosen at random. After playing each team in their conference, the two matching teams for conferences were matched up for the final all-deciding game. And the final result was…. *drum roll*….

1st. Andrew B (Skaven)
2nd. Andrew C (Humans)
3rd. Ian (Norse)
4th. Rob (Chaos)
5th. Charlie (Skaven)
6th. Steve (Humans)
7th. Aaron (Pro Elfs)
8th. Undead Jon (Undead)

Congratulations to everyone who took part. The competition was fierce (mostly for last place!).
