Mixing it up

Having run quite a few campaigns recently the Enfield Gamers are currently engaging in a bit of “Run What You Brung” for the next little while and this Tuesday a new offering fro Spartna Games steamed into view in the form of Dystopian Wars.

Following on from Uncharted Seas the setting has moved to Steampunk Victoriana and the action now encompasses land, sea and air or whatever mix you wish to play. Ian and Charlie stuck to sea and air adding the fighter and bomber rules as the same game simple, fun and effective game mechanics apply.

Meanwhile the rest of us were firmly within the 41st Millenium with 40K and Space Hulk.

If you’ve got a game that you’ve beeen burning to play then give us a shout or just roll on in!

Dystopian Wars steams over the horizon

Beautiful Games

Another Open Gaming night saw another variety of beautiful games being played.

Rich J and Ian took each other on again playing the newly released “Beautiful Game” as Liverpool United took on Manchester Rovers. 3 nil to Rovers if memory serves.

Meanwhile in the 41st millenium Rich W and Mike engaged across the the 40K battlefield whilst the rest of us broke out Space Hulk. Playing the Defend mission easily accomodated two of us on each side and after dealing with a little rust we got on at a good rate.

The ‘Stealers made life fairly easy for the Marines early on before re-learning to build up thier assault waves. Backed into the final room the Assault Cannon prepared the final defense only for Jon to roll a triple. He went BANG!!

Next week more 5150.

Space Hulk: The hulk awaits its visitors

Space Hulk: Two badass claw armed mo-fos!

Game over man, GAME OVER!!

40K: The Necron advance begins

40K: The sorcerous blue line of Thousand Sons

Saint and Greavsie eat your heart out; a game of two halves

Who let the dogs out

Returning to the 5150 campaign the latest round involved searching for an ancient transporter device buried beneath the surface of the Planet of the Ancients.Residing at the top of the leaderboard Rich J and Ian faced off going full bore with thier leaders confronting each other one on one.

The rest of us broke out Zombies 4: The End which involves battling Zombie K-9s through the boonies to cast a spell in an abandoned cabin. There’s probably a movie in there somewhere!

Open Gaming next week with Space Hulk and The Beautiful Game both mooted. Feel free to give us a go :

If you go down to the woods today.....

...you might just get savaged by rabid Zombie dogs!

Tis’ the season

Tradition can be a great thing and for us that means the last meeting before Christmas being Pizza and fun games.
Dominos’ Two 4 Tuesday deal provided one half of the equation whilst Munchkin Quest and Carcassonne provide the other.

Carcassonne was new to me but I picked it up quickly enough so that the second game was a much tighter affair than the first. Munchkin Quest threw the players a curve-ball with a pack of big beasties soon on the rampage. Mr C somehow ended up in the same room as them, silly boy!

2011 gaming commences on Tuesday January 11th with 5150. You’re welcome to join us!

Carcassonne: Build an empire and claim it for your own!

Munchkin Quest: even the game ganged up on Mr Christian!

A fine repast for any group of gamers :)

FUBARed.

This week’s main event for a huge game of FUBAR…

Rich, Shaun and Charlie play some FUBAR.

The townsfolk look unconcerned.

Uh-oh.

No wonder that Steve keeps losing. His players are facing the wrong way!

An early blitz is as near the Lustria Leopards got to winning against Rob's Ratz.

See you all in December for more fun and games.
