Raiders and Renegades

Tuesday night was the last meeting of the month and round 2 of the Necromunda campaign.

Playing through a variety of raids there were no deaths, unlike round 1, though there were plenty of captures which resulted in rescue attempts and an awful lot of horse trading. The big face-off was Ian’s Escher Nuns vs Lewis’ Goliath as both were undefeated. The Nuns were raiding the Goliaths who did an excellent job of constantly looking the wrong way. Result…big boom. An epic firefight then broke out but the Nuns held there nerve to take the game.

Meanwhile SAGA actually entered the Dark Ages whilst there was a brief night out with the Ankh Morpork City Watch with Guards Guards.

Next meeting is Tuesday 14th for round 3 of Necromaunda and more run what you brung.

Guns N’ Ammo

Lock N’ Load, Rock N’ Roll, Tuesday night was Necromunda night as round 1 of the campaign kicked off.

Two games a piece brought plenty of early campaign poorly aimed autofire and failed ammo rolls, so how on Terra there were 4 KIAs and a number of serious injuries has the authorities mystified. The Goliaths made their weight felt with a combination of two sets of Tunnels combined with two sets of flamers (he runs the campaign don’t you know :) ) whilst the Escher Nuns got also got themselves into the winning habit. I’m here all week.

Next Tues is open gamimg and Rich’s Samurai SAGA mini-campaign. Feel free to drop by and pay your respects!

Seasons greetings

Season’s greetings to you all, good will to all men etc etc…….but not Skaven!

As previously metioned this Tuesday was the final meeting of the year, aka Pizza Night, as well as the final round of the Mordheim campaign.
Just one round of games this week to allow us to plow through 8 large offerings of Pizza Hut’s finest fare accompanied by a few sides of garlic bread with cheese and a few mince pies all washed down with lashings of ginger beer. Ahh TRADITION…can’t beat it :)

Back at the gaming the Orcs employed the Possessed shaman to conduct the ANCIENT RITUAL, as their shaman didn’t understand anything non fungal, whilst the Skaven attempted to stop them or even hijack the ANCIENT RITUAL via a Hold the Find scenario. Everyone else played linked games feeding into the final result.

The Skaven assault was utterly deadly with 7 of their opponents out of action on the first turn alone. Fighting valiantly the unholy alliance came close to completing the ritual before both shamans were eventually overwhelmed. The possesed spell-slinger was in fact impaled by a critically hitting spear thrust stapling him to the back of a troll……what a way to go! With such a convincing victory the side results had little impact as the horned god swept to victory.

Withe the Grimoire of Grunburg in their possesion will they overwhelm the town itself. Maybe one day we will return and find out!

Meanwhile, in the words of Eddie Murphy a la Trading Places, MERRY NEW YEAR!!!

Rat-at-at-attack!
